Last night in the Democrats' first debate of their nomination process they all agreed that the war in Iraq was lost...
...but, with one or two exceptions, they are not without responsibility for sending America into Iraq:
« Is Hillary a moderate hawk? | Main | Lieberman: The Bush surge might deliver security, Harry Reid's retreat will only bring defeat »

Surrendercrats. Placating the nutroots Left, unending propaganda from a manipulative and dishonest agenda-driven media, and the sway of public perceptions.
Moral and intellectual bankruptcy. Not even traditional Liberals or Progressives. Just sellouts, at the expense of genocide abroad and a far more dangerous future at home.

Hey Steevo..you write
'Moral and intellectual bankruptcy. Not even traditional Liberals or Progressives. Just sellouts, at the expense of genocide abroad and a far more dangerous future at home.'
When are you enlisting? I hope the army provide you with a comfortable berth in a frontline unit. 12 months dodging IED's should give you an idea of reality.
How much more moral bankruptcy can you display when you insist that American troops should stay in a military conflict that they cannot win & the population they are fighting for do not appreciate their sacrifices.
The war was lost as it's inception, the lies and fabrications betrayed the American/British people and troops and sowed the seeds of defeat from the outset.
You write-'at the expense of genocide abroad and a far more dangerous future at home.'
The war in Iraq has rejuvenated Islamic extremists worldwide and given their cause millions of zealous recruits intent on punishing the unjust western nations, without regard for their own lives.
How could prolonging a conflict so flawed help to increase our safety?
Conversely, recruitment and retention figures in the armed forces of the US/UK militaries are falling due to the Iraq war effect.
I hope that warmongers advocating an extension to the troops tour in Iraq will be signing up or failing that instruct their children to enlist..I somehow doubt it.

Your question of when I'm gonna enlist has the same relevance to when will you become an Iraqi citizen?
So you speak for our men in uniform? And you believe the Dems do too? You're a BBC guy and waaay out of touch! The clear majority of our men and women serving there see the cut-and-run Dems giving the enemy an upper hand time date with greater possibilty their efforts end in vain. You have absolutely no clue.
They think there is strong possibility they can win. That's what they say. You're a liar Dennis and don't speak for them. You speak for your left-wing hatred of American power.
You're not really even a defeatist. You will forsake the hope the Iraqi people because you hope America will lose face. Your answer is genocide and then gleefully (sic) point an I-told-you-so finger.
